Many thanks to the readers who took the time to answer my question from my previous newsletter about preferences in newsletters. :) It meant a lot to read your comments, and the overwhelming opinion was readers like to make a personal connection with the author, seeing more than simply 'business'. And I agree! If I had more time to spare, I would've answered each one personally, but know that I very much appreciated your responses! I recently participated in two Facebook author parties – with Writerspace & Worth the Wait Seasoned Romance Readers – and enjoyed the sharing as well as learning fun facts about one another.

There are two upcoming new releases to tell you about, as well as a newer release from an author friend and collaborator.

Tuesday, Nov. 8th, two more fantastic anthologies are releasing from Evernight Publishing. Get ready for scorching, suspenseful tales. Both are available for preorder at Evernight as well as digital retailers.

On release day, authors are celebrating the anthologies with a party on Facebook. It's an opportunity to “meet” some of the authors featured in the anthos as well as others (like me) who love to engage with readers. While I would've loved to have been part of another anthology, the editor thought my submission for consideration, Destined Dragon, was better suited as a solo release. But I'll hardly complain since readers are loving my story!

Tara September has a newer release, Blinded Me with Science, in her Lesson in Love series. Her first book, One More Kiss, was originally part of the Love at First Kiss series, also starring my book, Changing the Game. We share mentions and episodes of each other's characters in our college, new adult romances which are spirited, sexy fun.

For those who may not know, besides writing romances, I also write poetry and short stories. It's been a while since I've indulged in that...and hopefully I'll get back to it. In the meantime, check out my work at Spillwords.

With Veterans Day next week, I wanted to take a moment to say thanks to any/all who may have served. Hubby and I are veterans of the US Army, having met while serving at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. I went in hoping to become a helicopter pilot; hubby wanted to become Special Forces. I did end up working a portion of my time on a flight line; hubby became a diesel mechanic. We had initially thought we'd remain in for twenty years and retire from service before moving on to our next phase. But as often happens in life, plans change. And even though we didn't achieve our initial goals, we're both proud of our time, the people we met, and the experiences we had.

We continue to be supporters of our military and veterans, and I donate all sales of my military romance, The Soldier's Final Mission to the charity organization, Soldiers' Angels. Not only will you enjoy this emotional, second chance romance, but you'll be supporting a worthy cause. My thanks!
